Gunjan Saxena – The Kargil Girl has been told at the beginning that the hindi movie is inspired by the life of Gunjan Saxena. It is clear that some fictional themes have also been added in the name of Cinematic Liberty. When watching this film, there is always a doubt in the mind that what we are seeing on screen is true or the imagination of the director-writer. However Gunjan Saxena remained attached to the film and perhaps for the most part it is also genuine.
The filmmaker has cleverly divided the hindi film into three parts. The first part shows how the desire of girl Gunjan wakes up to become a pilot.
In the plane, she has a dispute with her brother that the window should be kept open, but if the brother does not agree, then the air hostess takes Gunjan in the cabin of the pilot and from there, the sight that Gunjan sees, she decides to grow up Have to fly an airplane.
Gunjan Saxena – The Kargil Girl: Hindi Movie Review
Mother and brother are against, but the father gets full support. Gunjan prepares and gets selected, but the matter gets stuck on money. However, the way the life of the family of Gunjan has been shown, the mind does not believe that there is a problem of money.
Gunjan then enrolls in the Indian Air Force. This part of the film is emotional and through the beautiful bonding of father and daughter, the matter is further enhanced. There are many beautiful scenes where the father guards his daughter’s dreams and irrigates her.
The second part of the film is dedicated to the training of the Indian Air Force. In this, the narrow thinking of men towards women has been raised. Gunjan has to face a lot of difficulties as a woman during training.
There is no toilet for women. Nobody talks to him. There is an igo heart of men in saluting a woman. He is not invited to parties. During training, he is repeatedly told that he is weaker than men and that men protect the country better.
Here the hindi film has fallen victim to over-dramatization many times and the Indian Air Force has also objected to this.
The final part of the hindi movie is the Kargil War where Gunjan shows his bravery feats and makes a proud contribution. There is a hurry here and there is a lack of clarity in the matter. More footage was to be given to this part of the movie.
Director Sharan Sharma knew the limitations of his writers, so he created good emotions in the film and kept the audience hooked. The hindi film did not drag too long and stated its point within two hours. He did not try to cash in the patriotism, which can be appreciated.
The lead role is played by Jahnavi Kapoor and she has proved to be a weak link in the hindi movie. They are improved in comparison to beats, but there is a great need for improvement. The same expression cannot be used in the entire film. He did not see the ‘spark’ that is required for such a role and its effect on the entire film.
The supporting cast of the film has done their work beautifully and all of them should learn. Pankaj Tripathi, Angad Bedi, Manav Vij and Vineet Kumar looked natural and comfortable. Manusha Nandan’s cinematography is excellent and Amit Trivedi’s music is mediocre.
Gunjan Saxena The Kargil Girl may like it if not seen with high expectations.
